After waiting years for Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton’s friends-to-lovers arc — and that carriage scene — “Bridgerton” delivered in spades with Season 3. But with the conclusion of one love story comes to the spark of another, and fans are eagerly awaiting (and theorizing) about what “Bridgerton” Season 4 might have in store.
The next season won’t arrive for some time — showrunner Jess Brownell told TheWrap they’re not quite on a yearly release schedule yet and Season 4 hasn’t started filming.
But in the meantime, there’s plenty of romance dramas from the time period to fill the need for on-screen yearning, including “Bridgerton” spin-off series “Queen Charlotte,” which might also serve as a refresher for the existing dynamics between Queen Charlotte, Lady Danbury and Lady Bridgerton before rewatching Season 3.
