Living Green

Here at Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge, we want to reduce our impact on the environment in a meaningful way. To do this we have to constantly review our processes and practices within the hotel to make sure we reduce any harmful impacts we are having on the wider environment.

Living Green is Clayton Hotels environmental movement that inspires care for our environment as a “Way of Life” throughout our hotels; both for our people and our guests.

Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge Commitment

We have been accredited by Green Tourism, a certification program that provides a framework to achieve an environmentally friendly business in the tourism industry.

We are very proud to say that currently, we have a Gold accreditation.

Utilities

All our electricity is purchased from 100% renewable sources.

Waste & Recycling

In 2019 as a group of hotels we sent 1,236 tonnes of food to an anaerobic processing plant which created 494.5 Mwh of energy & 247.2 tonnes of fertiliser.

Water

Aerators have been installed to reduce water waste whilst keeping strong shower pressure

Plastic 

The hotel is always looking at ways to reduce single-use plastic. One way we have reduced this by taking all single-use plastic toiletries from the bedrooms.

Training 

We are constantly training our staff in improving our actions towards a more environmentally friendly hotel.

Local Community 

In 2022 we plan to work with local groups to improve the local environment.

Green Transport 

We have installed electric charging points in our hotel car park.

Here at Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge, we recommend that our guests try and take public transport or car share where they can.

Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge in Dublin 4 is located on the corner of Merrion and Simmonscourt Road next to the RDS Arena.
Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge is located very close to many great public transport links allowing you the luxury to leave the car at home and also do your bit for the environment.

We are served by DART, Dublin Bus 4 and 7, and the Aircoach.

If you are coming from an area close by why not take the bike? We have a secure bike parking facility located in our underground car park.
